Hi!
I would like to offer you the sewing machine the singer 221. The machine is in an excellent condition, she has a case, pedal, book, box. The  machine has initial colouring of black colour. The machine has no a rust, but  there are small scratchs but them it is not visible almost. I sell the machine  at the price of 110 $ + 31 $ shipping. Write to me on email and I shall  send you photos of the sewing machine. I shall look forward to hearing from you.

As you can see from some of the email addresses, this person is in Russia.  You can safely send a featherweight across the US for $31, so I know you can't do it from another country.

When you first decline, the scammer will ask for HALF the money now and half when you get the machine.  Well he didn't sucker you in for the $141 but he does have you for $70-$75 if you go along with it.....if you send the money, it is LOST FOREVER....you will not get it back and you will not get the machine.

I told the seller that I had friends all over the world and did have one in Russia and I would send the money to my friend and let my friend pickup the machine.  I only needed his information so my friend could inspect the machine....I never got a reply.  I offered to use the escrow service of MY choice......the scammer declined.

The seller will say things about being honest, going to church all the time, trying to support a family with small children, or even sick family members.  These are all at attempts to gain trust and STEAL your money.

If you get one of these emails from a different email address, please let me know so I can add the email address to the BEWARE address list.

You can say all the bad thing you wish. I did my best to get a good copy of the manuals sent to you. I was not happy with the way the one turned out and I sent it to a printer, who spent a long time on them and did not do a better job. I then asked for a copy from someone in England to see if I could use the 2 copies to make a nice copy. I have talked to this person again and he forgot to send off the manual. I am still waiting. My auctions say no refunds. Plus I am glad the poor copy did not arrived when mailed, since I was not happy with the out come of that one. Yet through all of you rude name calling I was still trying to get you a nice copy of the manual. I would still like to send it off, at least until the lies you told to needlebar. I wanted to send you a good copy of the manuals, not just a dark hard to read one. I have spent many hours and tried many ways to get this done for you. I even have another one coming, that I paid for in the hopes of getting you a nice copy, since I know you collect sewing machines to save the history and not just to sell them for a profit. During all this time, I have lived through all the name calling and your lack of patience, even when I tried to explain the problems I was having. I would never had put them up for sale if I had known oil socked pages would be such a beast to copy. But this you know too, since I explained this to you. Even listing my name on the do not buy from this lady, did not change my mind to send you off a nice copy and I had always planed to send you a nice copy. I spent a lot of time looking for another manual, once I mailed off the bad copy, because I was not happy with the ones I sent you. But again all I got from you was more name calling. I now have the other manual, but I no longer feel like I need to try to send you a nice copy after you went to needlebar. The group has been judgmental over something between me and you, without hearing my side of this story. so at this point in time, I feel you have gotten what you wanted and paid for. Sadly I now believe the many stories told to me concerning the group and feel I owe you a thank you for opening my eyes. I was always concerned about the group feeling they were better then everyone else and was told this by people I have trusted before joining the group. But I try not to believe others and find out for myself, since there are  always two side to any story. When the group did not give me a fair chance to be hoarded, is when I believed others were right and it was a good time for me to be out of a group, that others look to as being stuck up. I have learned many things from this experience and you were a good teacher. I am just sorry, It took me so long to learn. I was mistaken to believe you cared about saving history, instead you care for money more, then getting a manual worth more then the money you spent. There is a big difference to say you care about saving history, then actually doing something to save it. I am sure you will make money when you retire off the sale of your collection. I will be giving mine to my community. Joan

Good part is 1) she never sent the manuals 2) I NEVER sent a message to "the needlebar group" EVER about this and 3) I NEVER posted a name on any of the sewing machine lists or sites....only here.  You can read above that she does not intend on keeping her end of the deal and she has no problem receiving my money and not sending the goods.
